This Von Duprin CXA9875EO-4Exit Only Mortise Exit Device with a 48 inch wide stile pushpad is designed for doors with a width of 34-36 inches. The Chexit®(CX) assembly includes a delayed egress device that activates after 15 seconds, and it meets Grade 1 standards while being non-handed for versatile installation. Trim and dogging are not included.

Delayed egress-The Chexit®(CX)

The Von Duprin Chexit device is designed for controlled egress applications. It meets both life safety and security needs, as well as the requirements of NFPA 101 for "Special Locking Arrangement" and IBC "Special Egress-Control Devices". All control inputs, auxiliary locking, local alarm and remote signaling outputs are self-contained in the Chexit assembly. Numerous configurable options allow the device to be customized for the specific code or application requirements.  The standard Chexit device sounds an alarm and keeps the door secured for 15 seconds following an exit attempt with
immediate release upon fire. 

The Chexit device includes a 6" x 20" decal for application on door. “PUSH UNTIL ALARM SOUNDS. DOOR CAN BE OPENED IN 15 SECONDS”

The device ships EO/DT/NL. Field selectable. For TP, K or L remove the NL drive screw from the device.

98 Series Mortise Exit Device

Fire exit mortise lock devices with a smooth mechanism case.

The 9875 Series is for all types of single or double doors and is UL listed for panic exit hardware. Devices are ANSI A156.3 – 2008 Grade 1. Fits stock hollow metal doors with 86 cutouts and door stiles as narrow as 4-3/4" (121mm). 
  • Device Functions: The device ships EO/DT/NL. Field selectable. For TP, K or L remove the NL drive screw from the device.
  • Device Lengths:
    • 3' – 2' 4" to 3' (711 mm to 914 mm) door size
    • 4' – 2' 10" to 4' (864 mm to 1219 mm) door size
  • Device centerline from the finished door:
    • 39-13/16" (1011 mm)
    • 39-11/16" (1008 mm) with mullion
  • Center case dimensions: 8" x 2-3/4" x 2-3/8" (203 mm x 70 mm x 60 mm)
  • Mechanism case dimensions: 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" (57 mm x 57 mm)
  • Projection: Pushbar Neutral – 3-13/16" (97 mm); Pushbar depressed – 3-1/16" (78 mm)
  • Fasteners & sex bolts (SNB): Includes screw pack for 1-3/4" (44 mm) and 2-1/4" (57 mm) thick metal or wood doors.
